A 31-year-old lineman of the Zamboanga Sur Electric Cooperated, Jempe Sumalpong, died from electrocution while fixing lines from a power post to a house in Barangay Poblacion in Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur on Sunday, March 24, 2025.
Sumalpong was declared on arrival by physicians at a municipal community hospital in the town proper of Midsalip where barangay emergency responders brought him for treatment. (March 25, 2024, John Unson, with handout photo)
